Pastor Fainer Benjamin
Welcome!
I’m so glad you stopped by! It’s a real joy and honor to serve as the lead elder and pastor of the Moberly Seventh-day Adventist Church. My mom, Shami, and I moved to the Moberly area in September 2023, and we’ve loved calling this place home ever since.
Before coming here, I served at the Gladstone and Independence Seventh-day Adventist Churches in the Kansas City area, beginning in 2020—the same year I graduated from Andrews Theological Seminary with my Master of Divinity degree.
A fun fact about me: I speak Aramaic—the very language Jesus spoke while He was here on Earth! My family and I are descendants of the ancient Assyrians mentioned in the book of Jonah, and we immigrated to the U.S. when I was three years old. I grew up in Chicago (the Windy City!), but I have to say, I really prefer the peace and simplicity of life here in Moberly.
When I’m not studying or ministering, you can usually find me reading, playing basketball, hiking, or spending time with friends and family outdoors, enjoying God’s beautiful creation.
More than anything, I’m passionate about helping people experience Jesus in a way that changes their lives and draws them into His mission. There’s nothing better than seeing someone’s face light up with the joy of the Lord as they step out to share His love and truth with others, becoming fishers of men, women and children.
